We all know how Adobe is Pushing Flex in the RIA spot with AS 3.0. As a developer, we have to learn one more new thing inorder to be there.
I have certain questions regarding Flex
1) Why we require Flex (We have already lots of frameworks and Server Side Presentation Layers like JSP/JSF..and now we have OpenLazslo coming into picture
2) Does Flex provide anyother advantage apart from serving Rich Media, any differences in the architecture level, (as far as my knowledge is concerned , it uses J2EE as its base).
3) Does Adobe goes for Open Sourcing Flex (inorder to make it more strong with the developer community)
For me learning a new thing is always good, but learning propreitary stuff (like Flex), does it provide value in the coming up years ??? as Open Source Tech are now taking the road (PHP/MySQL, OpenAMF, Open Laszlo and ....)
